The Lollipop Enjoy Venice turns the gothic Venetian architecture of Doge's Palace and Ca' d'Oro into an edible sugary delight to carry around while strolling through the Venetian calli.

But it is not just a Lollipop, nor it is just a simple Souvenir: it also carries an important message.

Just like the city, the lollipop is desired, bought, consumed, finally losing its entity. It can be seen as a theme park object, given that this is how cities of culture are often seen and lived nowadays.
Between consumerism and entertainment, at the end of the day the city empties, spoiled, turns off the lights just like an amusement park.
The lollipop, like a 'tourist' place, is savored lightly, until you are (literally) left with only the stick in your hand.

And so the question is, what do we want to do with the places we visit: consuming, preserving or supporting them?
